I made the big move from suburbia to country life about 3 weeks ago. Having previously used cable internet, there was no way we could tolerate dial-up. Our only two choices right now were sattelite or cellular. After reading mixed reviews about Hughes Net and WildBlue, we opted for the Verizon Wireless Broadband internet. It isn't cheap ($59.99 per month, plus taxes), but it is convenient in that we can use it with our laptop any place we may go. Hopefully something else (DSL???) might be available someday (not holding my breath on this though).
We are getting settled and really love the peace and beauty of our acreage. I'll post some pictures below when I get a chance.
