I have never canned before but with my garden being so bountiful I would like to can some salsa and stewed tomatoes at the very least for the winter. How do I do this without too big of an investment?
I have never canned before but with my garden being so bountiful I would like to can some salsa and stewed tomatoes at the very least for the winter. How do I do this without too big of an investment?
You will need a canner or a stainless steel pot (big one). You should be able to find recipes right online for canning both. Salsa takes a lot longer than stewed tomatoes, it is just because you have to sit there and keep stirring it.
