Slow Cooker

I bought a slow cooker a few months ago and feel I have been making the same recipe over and over. Could you share your favorite slow cooker recipe?

We do everything in the slow cooker. You can toss any meat in and then potatoes and carrots and have a great meal for when you are out of work. We also make chili and beef stew a lot too.

Thanks for the tips. I am going to try and find that book "Fix it and Forget it." I am all for 1000s of choices. I want to find out if it is possible to do something like a dessert instead of just a meat and potatoes meal. I was just given a little slow cooker, and I was thinking about trying something sweet in it.

Buy a whole chicken season it up put it in whole and cook it. Add some veggies if you want but they tend to get greasy from the chicken. Some celery and onions work just to give it some flavor.

We just made a big slow cooker full of pork ribs and it was so good! I love ribs this way, the meat literally falls off the bones! Pour in some BBQ sauce and let the ribs simmer all day! I don't add anything else besides meat and BBQ sauce for these.
