I'm the same, when items I use all the time are on sale I'll always buy a few which is mostly toiletry and pantry items, but if there's room in the freezer then hamburger and chicken too, but even with that it seems like I still go to the grocery store a lot.
When on sale, I will definitely buy some things in advance. For example, I'm a pepsi fanatic. I never buy at regular price. I wait for the price to come to me and then stock up.
I am exactly like you OldMcdonald. I stock up all the time at Walmart, but I end up buying stuff weekly. There is just so much milk and bread you can keep on hand. We don't drink that much soda, but we are juice crazy. I am always buying at least 6 gallons, and since I like to buy 100% real fruit juice, I definitely have to wait for the price to be right.
