I'm fairly handy with a sewing machine, but I have never attempted making slipcovers for furniture. I'm considering it, but it seems involved. Have you ever made slipcovers?

I have not. I'll be honest, I've been sewing for 30 years and I'm intimidated by slipcovers. Sewing for the home is harder for me then making garments.
If I had a pattern or even a tutorial, I would feel more comfortable attempting a slipcover. What is hard for me is the idea of starting from scratch. There is such a wide variety of styles and sizes of sofas, it sort of seems as thought I'd have to reinvent the wheel and do it from the ground up.
However, if you do well with sewing house projects, I think it can be done. Why not look online and see if some enterprising blogger has gone before you and figured it out already?
No, the sewing gene is one of those things that I don't possess very much. I dabbled once or twice in the past but we no longer even had a sewing machine. I could use some of those slipcovers though.
