The last time I papered over paneling, I used liner paper under the wallpaper. Wash the walls good, then use a primer or sizing. Then the liner, then the wallpaper. Looked great when it was done.

    Re: Wiring electric baseboard heater

They asked if a baseboard heater could be wired from a 110V outlet. Yes it could but it probably needs it's own separate circuit.
  3. Re: For Belle: rest peacefully my dear friend.

    Sorry for your loss.
I have lost a few to cars, and it hurts. I've lost one because he ran away on the day we moved to town. I guess he didn't want to go. The one I have now, I'd almost die if it...

    Re: Copper propane line?

Well, I'm in no way a plumbing guru, but I can tell you how 99% of the propane set-ups around here are connected. Usually copper line from the tank into the house, then a flare fitting on the end of...

  9. Re: Need help with electric baseboard install

A single pole thermostat will work, however I prefer to open both wires, hence a 2 pole thermostat that I suggested.
Look at the attached vs what you first drew, you're drawing will not work.
  10. Re: Need help with electric baseboard install

    Try again
  11. Re: Need help with electric baseboard install

    phoenix,
Use one thermostat, like in my drawing. It's crude, but you'll get the idea. Use a 2-pole thermostat if possible. Make your splices in the thermostat box or one of the heaters. You can also...

    Re: Generator basics

    Gary and Danny,
There is a meter base out there that has the meter socket and a transfer switch/genset outlet all rolled into one. I know that SquareD makes a couple. They may be a manual set-up...

Re: Where is the air coming from - news

Bladders in some brands are made to be replaced, but from pricing one for mine, I might decide a new tank is not that much more. My tank is too small in my opinion, that's why I might buy a new one,...

Click on and read this thread . It is quite common for the switch itself to cause the problems with the 4WD.

    Re: baseboard wiring

    Gary,
A continuous load is anything that may run for 3 hours or more at a time. The breaker should not be loaded more than 80% for those types of loads.

    Re: baseboard wiring

A 15A breaker is only going to be good for 12 Amps for a continuous load. A 1000W load at 240V is about 5 Amps. You're OK.
  19. Re: Changing old 220 line outlet to a 110 outlet

    A couple of possible solutions......

Change the outlet to a 110V one with the correct configuration. Terminate the unused "hot" wire with a wire nut or what ever they may be called in your neck of...

Why dismiss the extended cab? You can get one with an 8' bed. Makes for a bugger to park and turn around, but they're out there.
